Daily Better is designed for private mood check-ins, local journaling, and optional AI reflections without an account or advertising tracking.

Information We Collect

Daily Better stores the following information locally on your device:

  • Mood check-ins you create
  • Text notes you write
  • AI reflections saved with your entries
  • Reminder and appearance preferences

How Information Is Used

Your data is used to provide the app's features, including your timeline, entry details, reminders, and AI reflection results.

AI Reflections

If you tap Reflect after writing a note, Daily Better sends the selected mood, note text, locale, app version, request identifier, and an anonymous device token to our reflection service to generate a response. Mood-only reflections may be generated on your device. AI reflections are for general journaling and self-reflection only and are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Data Sharing

Daily Better does not sell your data and does not share your data with third parties for advertising. When you use AI reflections, your reflection request is processed by our AI service provider only to generate the requested response.

Service Data

To operate the AI reflection service and prevent abuse, we may process limited technical data such as an anonymous device token, hashed token identifiers, request IDs, app version, usage counts, and rate-limit records. We do not use this data to identify you.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Daily Better uses Apple's local notification system to send reminder notifications on your device. Notification settings can be changed at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.

Data Retention

Your timeline data remains on your device unless you delete it, remove the app, or reset your device. Reflection service data is used to provide the service, diagnose reliability issues, and maintain rate limits.

Children's Privacy

Daily Better is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above.
